CF Toronto Eaton Centre

During the Fall of 2022, Ferrier Wire was fortunate enough to supply substantial quantities of stainless steel perforated material for a well-known retail store located in the Eaton Centre. The project took several months and used approximately 1,000 square feet of Ferrier Wire material for decorative wall panels. A few years later in the Spring of 2024, this material was also featured in a large overhead sign with the Adidas logo visible from Yonge Street near Sankofa Square (formerly Yonge-Dundas Square). The scope of these projects has also extended beyond Ontario, with the same Ferrier Wire material being used in this retail company’s Calgary location in 2023. Ferrier Wire is very pleased with the end result of these projects and is happy to have been a part of  them.

The chosen material for this extensive project was our 304 stainless steel perforated ½” diameter by 11/16” staggered round hole specification (product code: 304PERF500687516). Available in 4’ x 8’ sheets, this material offers a high strength and long lasting solution that offers a unique design especially for railing infill and panels. For this specific project, the material on the interior of the store was paired with a matte black background creating a unique texture as a backdrop for products in the store. Additionally, panels of material were used to give texture to the relatively minimalist sign on the outside of the building. Although this material is significantly more expensive than its mild steel counterpart, the stainless material offers corrosion/rust resistance as well as greater strength that the mild steel material does not have.
