Specification Sheet Spotlight: Perforated Metal Patterns
Recently, the team at Ferrier decided to undertake an ambitious project. We are creating specification sheets for all patterns that include our decorative perforated metal selection. Our goal is to provide detailed information about the unique features of each pattern and ultimately help you select the most appropriate design for your application.
In this blog series, we will be highlighting different patterns of decorative perforated metal, beginning with the following four:
- Chainlink
- Full clover
- Sacchetto
- Ventilatore
Chainlink
The chainlink is made out of cold rolled steel with a thickness of 20ga. It has a 48.0% open area, and weighs 0.84 lbs/sf. Common applications of this pattern include radiator covers, built in cabinets, infill panels and privacy screen. You may have seen an example of this on our projects page, where we used it to construct a spa privacy screen.

Full Clover
The beautiful full clover pattern takes after its name. It is also a cold rolled steel pattern with a thickness of 20ga. It weighs .74lbs/sf with a 51% open area. It shares many of the same applications as the chainlink pattern, commonly found as radiator covers, built in cabinets, infill patterns and privacy screens.

Sacchetto
The Sacchetto is a thicker pattern with a 30.0% open area. It weighs 0.85lbs/sf and is also made out of cold rolled steel. It has the same applications as the patterns above.

Ventilatore
The Ventilatore has an interesting pattern of squares and rectangles. This intricate, uniform pattern shares the same applications as the patterns above, with a thickness of 22ga.

All of the decorative perforated metal patterns above are mild steel (unfinished), with the option for custom plating and powder coating. Size sheets differ, but we can shear them to meet your specifications. For more information, please contact us directly.
